Hello! You can message me privately
I have a question about the plan for graduate programs after 4/15. the initial plan was to get back to work after 4/15. however, given the current situation, would this plan be changed?
Where can we find these?
Is there an ad for these workshops that DGSs can forward to their grad students?
Hi everyone! I'm the current secretary of the GSG, feel free to private message me if you have any questions!
Yes, I can send too DGS again.
Likewise the workshops for students of color - I hadn't seen those yet
Will do. We just had final details of those.
Here’s the info for the April 7 works for Students of color (of course, all are welcome):
Webinar: COVID-19: Q&A for Graduate Students of ColorDate: Tuesday, April 7, 2020Time: 12:00-1:15pmLink: https://udel.zoom.us/j/748593425Description: Webinar event featuring a panel of UD leadership (Michael Vaughan, Doug Doren, and LaRuth McAfee) specifically targeted to engage URM graduate students in light of the COVID-19 crisis. Students will voice questions, comments, or concerns about the university's efforts to ensure their degree progress and completion in this 'new normal.' The panelists will provide insight on how the university will continue its mission to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion for URM graduate students. They will also assure students about their commitment to supporting and guiding them as we work together to tackle this complex public health crisis.
Will the slides from this session be available for everyone who registered? Because we can’t access the links from the slides
Yes, We will post the slides on our website after!
There is guidance that will be coming out to campus soon about ways to combat Zoombombing.
@Caitlin - Great, thanks!
All grad students are welcome to register for Greenest BlueHen Challenge for Earth Day 2020 (deadline tomorrow 5pm); https://sites.udel.edu/sustainability/earthmonth/
my concern is about summer jobs or internships at the University. what happens to the jobs which were advertised and which we may have applied to?
Information on fees is available here: https://www.udel.edu/content/dam/udelImages/main/photography/campus/coronavirus/Finance-Adjustments.pdf
Does the new grading approach apply to all university colleges, like engineering?
Question regrading students graduating this spring. For students graduating in spring. Do the medical insurance go through till August?
Will the high pass and pass grades have a numeric equivalent for an overall cumulative average?
Regarding student fees being refunded to student accounts, if this is our final semester can we receive the money rather than a student account credit?
I think we all appreciate a dedication to flexibility when it comes to graduation timelines, but when will the University insure that all students who need deadline extensions will receive them? We need full funding for at least an additional semester for all students who want it.
To add on to Joseph—I’m not graduating but would also appreciate money instead of an account credit. (Or is there already a mechanism to transfer money in our accounts?)
due to approaching the deadline for rent gowns, when will be the decision made for the commencement?
In addition to extending timelines and funding, some universities have gone as far as to give students one-time emergency funding payments. When can we expect decisive action like this from UD?
Is there a new specific deadline for thesis submissions to the graduate school for Spring 2020?
We can only write for so long. Lab work is the work that counts.
To add on to what Lucas has said, we all need access to the library and ILL
Can't write at home without access to academic sources
Would an extension to the due dates for theses and dissertations be extended? Or could sustaining fees be waived for summer if students need to finish them due to the current situation?

I think Gunner is asking important questions. First: I think we all appreciate a dedication to flexibility when it comes to graduation timelines, but when will the University insure that all students who need deadline extensions will receive them? We need full funding for at least an additional semester for all students who want it.
Second: In addition to extending timelines and funding, some universities have gone as far as to give students one-time emergency funding payments. When can we expect decisive action like this from UD?
Thanks for the response on all colleges accepting the new grading!
Menti isn't refreshing
